Field Trips

Field trips in preschool are essential for hands-on learning experiences that stimulate curiosity, promote social interaction, and deepen understanding of the world beyond the classroom.

Maine Rail Road Museum:

This year when we were learning about transportation we visited the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum. This was a great trip, the children enjoyed learning more about the train and how it operates. They especially liked the train ride.

Smiling Hill Farm:

Each fall we visit Smiling Hill Farm. This is always a fun time for the children and families. We get right in with the little farm animals, pet and feed them. We go on a hay ride down to the pumpkin patch, choose a pumpkin to take home, and travel back up to the farm. Smiling Hill Farm provides each child with an ice-cream treat!

Maine Wildlife Park:

During our theme on our Maine wildlife animals, we visited Maine Wildlife Park. We adventured throughout the park, seeing and learning about the many animals that live in the woods of Maine. Following our adventure we all gathered  for a picnic and discussed all that we had seen and what animals were their favorites.
