Snacks & Allergies
We ensure a nutritious daily snack featuring a fruit or vegetable paired with a carbohydrate or protein, complemented by water as their beverage of choice. Our approach gently encourages children to explore new foods, with alternative options available if a child prefers. Embracing a family-style dining setting, children learn essential skills such as pouring water and using utensils. Monthly snack menus will be shared with families and posted at school for easy reference.
For children with severe food allergies (e.g., peanuts, milk), we prioritize safety by notifying all parents. We kindly request that families support the health and safety of all children by refraining from sending in allergenic foods or products. Parents of children with severe allergies are required to complete a medical form and meet with teachers to establish a personalized treatment plan. Additionally, we seek written permission from parents before sharing allergy-related information.
